this week for the Cybersmart challenge we went on this site called Kleki and we made Christmas patterns on it and here Is my designs.

Last week we went to the Groynes and we made a DLO for the trip and here is my DLO.

for 2 week we have being focusing on one text called the Rena. The Rena is a ship that crashed 13 years ago and it was very devastating for the maori that lived there and I made a report to explain it.

Since the the cargo ship name “Rena” crashed into the reefs of Ōtāiti island near the bay of plenty coast the local of that island is very angry , because the reef of Ōtāiti is considered a sacred place and it was carrying all sorts of chemicals and all that contaminants ruined the reef they worked so hard to keep clean and healthy.

Lots of people are very angry and nervous of what happened to the reefs but the council of the bay of plenty proposed a contract , on that contract said that they will keep the ship wreck there and everyone will help clean up the massive oil / chemical spill. Some people supported it and some people didn’t but at the end the contract was signed and now after 13 years the reef is almost all clean up.

for reading in my group we had a discussion and we discussed why Rena was left on the reef and why it should not and I made a table of reasons why it should stay on the reef and why it should not.

This Tuesday we had a virtual reality class. She told us how we should protect the Marines and how only 0.3% of the NZ oceans is protected and the goal for the whole world is to have 30% of every counties oceans to be protected and clean so I made a little poster with my friend based on that.

This term we have been learning how to say phrases in Te reo e and we made posters to teach some people how to say how to ask for someones age and here is my poster.

this week we had people from the kiwi rails come and visit us and talk to us about staying safe when crossing a rail and then we had to make a DLO about the things we learnt hope you like it.

this week was maths week and everything is maths based. On Tuesday we made maths based tapa arts and I drew one in my book . it is based of a flower , butterflies and a humming bird I hope you like it.

this week is cook island language week and we have been doing activities based on cook island and their language and I made a DLO that has some facts I hope you like it. press the little star at the corner to go back to content page.

This week for reading we had to make a DLO about the first medal we got in the Paris 2024 Olympic games and it was for the rugby sevens and here is my DLO.
